Located in the municipality of Benifaió, we have this historic farmhouse built in the year 1898 surrounded by farms, agricultural farms and rice mills declared of community interest. The house is known in the area as Casa or Huerto Aguilar, although at the top of its façade it says Villa María. The property also has 4.5 hectares (45,436 m2) of citrus land in full production, where we have navelina, hernandina or satsuma oranges and persimmons. Next to the majestic villa there is a tall chimney from the irrigation steam engine factory, which made this citrus farm a pioneer in the modernization of irrigation. Next to the house we have a large plot of land with barbecue or paellero and Moorish oven. The villa has mains electricity and its own water well. The house has an area of 725 sqm between storage and housing distributed in three heights, in addition to a solarium terrace on the roof of the top floor. On the ground floor there are several rooms, one of them for a large garage. On the first floor, we have two terraces, one facing east and the other facing west, to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. On the same floor we have two living-dining rooms, one of them with a large fireplace, a kitchen with a pantry and a service toilet, a full bathroom and five bedrooms. On the second floor, it has two open spaces, four bedrooms and a south-facing terrace. The house is in a good state of structural conservation, although it requires internal reform. It retains certain period details such as wooden beams, mosaic floors in some rooms and mobila wood doors. In short, it is a house with a lot of history and a lot of charm.
